A list of athletes who met the set forth criteria are nominated by the SSHOF committee and fans.  The nominee list consists of both past and present athletes.

Inductees are chosen by the great sports fans of the Sacramento area via popular vote on our official website.  Voting is open to the public and takes place during the months of October and November annually.  

 

The top five nominees receiving the most votes will be inducted as part of the next induction class.  The inductees are announced a week after voting is concluded and honored at the annual Sacramento Sports Hall of Fame Induction Celebration event held the following February at Thunder Valley Casino Resort.
