At 6’11” playing center for BYU, Jim was selected in the 5th round of the 1968 ABA Draft by the Oakland Oaks.  He played eight seasons professionally while winning Championships in 1969 with the Oakland Oaks and in 1976 with the New York Nets.  After the ABA/NBA merger in 1976, Jim played until 1978 scoring 8,255 total points and grabbing 5,578 total rebounds.
